Special Day for Special Kids

Rise and shine then come to the Transit Museum for an early opening in collaboration with Extreme Kids and Crew! Children with disabilities and their families are invited to join us in Downtown Brooklyn for a morning of free family fun. Families can explore the Museum for an hour before it opens to the public, and participate in special transit-related activities led by trained Museum Educators. Puzzles and sensory toys will be available in a quiet room. All ages welcome! Admission to this program is FREE and advanced registration is required. Register here!

This Special Day for Special Kids will feature a giant communal mosaic project inspired by the art in subway stations and a live musical performance by Lloyd H. Miller. Join a scavenger hunt to find your favorite subway cars on the Museum’s platform, and meet our Conductor Mabel on a vintage train car!
