When people don’t fit the dominant image associated with their identity, already significant barriers  increase.  Hear from a panel of authors and storytellers “Telling Our Stories.” Attend workshops to learn about:

  • Special Education Services and English Language Learners;
  • Getting the right diagnosis for youth of color;
  • Having autism in the LGBTQ community
  • Growing up Disabled in the Caribbean American Community

Join us for an overview of the issues as well as concrete support and strategies for dealing with them.

“There is no such thing as a single-issue struggle because we do not live single-issue lives.”   Audre Lourde
