INSIDE NYCB: The Legacy of George Balanchine’s Apollo

January 27, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

$20

Inside NYCB onstage presentations explore the history and inner workings of New York City Ballet through performance and discussion, offering audiences unique access to the esteemed performers and collaborators of NYCB.

Join us on January 27th, as we explore the masterwork George Balanchine referred to as the “turning point” in his life: Apollo. Choreographed in 1928 for the Ballet Russes, Apollo is one of the oldest Balanchine ballets in NYCB’s repertory and the first major work created with his long-time collaborator Igor Stravinsky. See Apollo anew at this presentation, which will feature coaching demonstrations led by Ballet Master in Chief Peter Martins, and hear insights from the NYCB dancers who have performed this iconic ballet.

How to Purchase:  Priority seating for American Sign Language Interpretation is available for all Inside NYCB performances. To purchase tickets, please contact (212) 870-5636 or education@nycballet.com.
