Conductor Jonathon Heyward then joins Ishizaki on stage for a conversation about the inspiration behind the piece and its connection to Schumann’s music. Through discussion and musical excerpts from both works, audiences are invited into the creative process and the artistic dialogue between composer and orchestra. The evening culminates with a performance of Schumann’s Symphony No. 1 in its entirety, bringing the journey full circle.
