Studio and contemporary art jewelry is rooted in sculptural experimentation and in the concept of art for the body. In this virtual meeting especially designed for people who are blind or partially sighted, we will be explore selections from MAD’s exhibition 45 Stories in Jewelry through movement and embodiment. The artists’ creative process will inspire simple choreographic patterns and ways of moving. The program is free but registration is required. A secure zoom link will be sent to all registered participants in advance of the meeting.
Workshop facilitator Vassiliki Spachou is a performer, choreographer and educator. As a Fulbright Fellow in New York City, she explores the current role of the body in relation to the visual arts.
