Subway Sleuths is an after-school program that builds on a shared interest in trains and public transit among 2nd – 5th grade students on the autism spectrum to support social interaction between peers.
Participants explore the New York Transit Museum’s content and collection, sharing their enthusiasm with others while engaging in transit-themed games and activities. Groups are facilitated by Transit Museum Educators and professionals trained in ASD support.
The 2nd-3rd grade group meets online at 4:15 PM ET on Wednesdays via the Zoom platform.
The 4th-5th grade group meets in-person at 4:30 PM on Thursdays at the Transit Museum in Downtown Brooklyn.
Applications due January 31th. Learn more and apply at nytransitmuseum.org/subwaysleuths.
