Science Sense Tour- Vertebrate Origins

Free with Museum Admission

Visitors who are blind or partially sighted are invited to attend this program, held monthly in the American Museum of Natural History galleries. Specially trained Museum tour guides highlight specific themes and exhibition halls, engaging participants through extensive verbal descriptions and touchable objects. Science Sense is free with Museum admission.

Wednesday, February 25th, 1:00 PM – Hall of Planet Earth

Explore the most significant stories of the Earth, from its early evolution, to the storms and earthquakes we encounter today. Traverse through one of the most outstanding collections of geologic specimens ever displayed.

Wednesday, March 18th, 1:00 PM – Hall of Meteorites

Discover the origin of the universe and our solar system in the Arthur Ross Hall of Meteorites, which includes the largest meteorite on display in any museum in the world.

Saturday March 21st, 10:00 AM – Change of Seasons- Spring is Here!

Learn more about the change of seasons and the arrival of Spring through exploration of the Hall of the Universe, Hall of Planet Earth, The Bernard Family Hall of North American Mammals, North American Forests and the Hall of New York State Environment.

Science Sense tours are available to individuals or groups. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Programs may be subject to change.
