Museum at Eldridge Street: Stained-Glass Verbal-Description Tour

July 18 @ 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm

Free

This virtual tour of the Museum at Eldridge Street’s stained-glass windows is designed for people who are blind or have low vision.

Stained glass windows bring beauty, light, air, and grandeur to any space. Our synagogue is no exception. Since the Synagogue opened in 1887, our stained glass windows, from the historic Rose Window to the modern window designed by Kiki Smith and Deborah Gans, have been captivating congregants and visitors alike for more than 137 years. Join the Museum’s Senior Manager for Education and Accessibility, Scott Brevda, for a special verbal description tour of the Synagogue’s stained-glass windows and explore their role in one of the most historic synagogues in the United States.

You can register by emailing access@eldridgestreet.org

This program is entirely virtual.

The Museum at Eldridge Street is a non-sectarian institution housed in the landmark Eldridge Street Synagogue at 12 Eldridge Street, New York, NY.
