To honor Sonia Sanchez and Ntozake Shange, central figures in the Black Arts movement, activists and powerful voices come together and channel the streams that influenced these pioneering African American poets. Chronicling the joys and struggles of identity and history, wordsmiths share the stage with musicians from the diaspora in this thought-provoking tribute.
