Lincoln Center Moments: Ragamala Dance Company: A Living Lineage

Ragamala Dance Company’s work illuminates humanity’s relationship with nature and the sacred. The company’s creative leadership of mother/daughters Ranee Ramaswamy, Aparna Ramaswamy, and Ashwini Ramaswamy are internationally acclaimed for their mastery of the South Indian dance form of Bharatanatyam. Guided by senior members of the company, this interactive program highlights elements of Ragamala’s work that reveal the dynamic interplay between dance, music, and poetry within their dance lineage.
