Visitors with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias and their care partners are invited to explore Edith Halpert and the Rise of American Art through a gallery tour and workshop. This exhibition explores the remarkable career of Edith Halpert, the trailblazing art dealer whose influence, eye, and passion for American Art continues to inform our understanding of American Art today as being pluralistic, generous in its parameters, and infused with idealism. The show features art by Stuart Davis, Ben Shahn, Jacob Lawrence, and Georgia O’Keeffe, among many others.
This program has two sessions: 11:00 – 12:30 for visitors with Early-Stage Dementia, and 2:00 – 3:30 for all visitors with dementia.
