Jazz at Lincoln Center Adapted WeBop Music Classes

June 4, 2017 @ 10:30 am - 2:15 pm

Free

Passport to the Arts partners with Jazz at Lincoln Center’s education department for a day filled with music classes for young children.  Families are welcome to register one child and up to two adults.  We ask that families only register for one session.

If your child has sensory sensitivities, we would recommend signing up for a Low Sensory Class.  The High Sensory Class will feature a full band in a classroom space, which may be overwhelming for some children.

  • Session One – 10:30am-11:15am – Low Sensory Class for age 2-6 years old.
  • Session Two *WAITLIST ONLY* – 11:30am – 12:15pm – Low Sensory Class for age 5-8 years old.
  • Session Three – 12:30pm – 1:15pm – High Sensory Class (with full band) for age 2-6 years old.
  • Session Four *WAITLIST ONLY* – 1:30pm – 2:15pm – High Sensory Class (with full band) for age 5-7 years old.

To register, please email access@lincolncenter.org or call 212 875 5375 and provide the following information:

  • Parent Name
  • Child’s Name
  • Child’s Birthdate
  • Phone Number
  • Total Number of Adults and Children (note, no more than three people total)
  • Requested Accommodations (accessible wheelchair seating locations, aisle seats, assistive listening devices, Braille or large print materials, ASL-interpretation, etc):
  • Is there anything special we should know about your child’s needs (sensory sensitivities, behavioral challenges, triggers, interests, experience with performing arts, receptive vs expressive language skills, etc)?

Please note that this program is first-come, first-served, and once we reach capacity, we will add families to a waitlist.
