The Folk Art Reflections: Music Series offers free live music programs that are designed for adults living with memory loss, their families and care partners. These special performances will take place at the museum before public hours, so the music and art can be enjoyed in a supportive and social environment.
Join us on Monday, August 12, from 1 to 3 PM for live music and light refreshments. All music will resonate with the quilts on view in the exhibition Wall Power! Quilts from the Karen and Werner Gundersheimer Gift. This program will be led by Onome, a vocalist and interdisciplinary sound artist of Nigerian heritage who incorporates improvisation into her practice as a tool to expand consciousness, creativity, and personal development. She uses word /sound power to transport people to more enriching and dimensional experiences of themselves and each other. Onome embodies joy, enchantment, and infinite possibility.
