Disposable Theater Productions presents First Time, Long Time at this year’s FringeNYC. This short play is easily enjoyed by theatergoers with visual impairments without the need for any descriptive services. Audience members rely on their own imaginations as an eclectic cast of off-stage characters phone in to speak with Harland West, host of a surreal radio show that seems to exist in a dimension unto itself. On stage, a single actor at an old-timey microphone sets the scene: “You’ve tuned into the Harland West Show, where all tales from the apocalypse are welcome, natural or otherwise.” Martin Denton, of nytheatre.com says, “…this play reminds us of the power of storytelling toprovoke, engage, and jolt.” Showing August 13th-27th.Visit www.firsttimelongtime.nyc for details.
