Create a soft sculpture inspired by Touch History and the interiors of Morris-Jumel Mansion. Art supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own fabric, buttons and more.
About the Museum: The mansion was built in 1765 by the Morris family, used as George Washington’s headquarters for a battle during the Revolutionary War, and lived in by the Jumels, a wealthy merchant family, in the 19th century. A historic house museum since 1904, the Mansion features restored period rooms from the Morris, Washington, and Jumel eras.
Audience: For people on the autism spectrum, Ages 10 & up, and caregivers/family members.
Price: Free with Museum admission. Museum admission is $5 for adults, $4 for students and seniors, and free for children under 12 years of age and museum members.
