Drag Story Hour for Neurodiverse Kids

July 23, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 11:00 am on Saturday, repeating until July 30, 2022

Drag Story Hour is just what it sounds like—drag artists reading stories to children in libraries, schools, and bookstores. DSH NYC captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models. And because drag artists are professional, eye-catching performers, they are also the perfect ambassadors for helping kids to discover the magic of reading! Children with disabilities are welcome at any DSH NYC event, but DSH for Neurodiverse Kids has the needs of children with autism and other disabilities in mind by design. Read more about what makes these events accessible at lineupthebooks.com/dqsh.

Please see the Eventbrite page for up-to-date details, including a theme and a list of books. A social story will be emailed out the week of the event to all who register.
