Broken Box Mime Theater performs plays that go beyond words in their latest children’s show, Destination: Everywhere! With a speaking host to guide even the youngest theater-goers, this hour-long collection of stories set to music includes a tale of an unlikely friendship with a giant, the troubles of a superhero on date night, and an out-of-this-world adventure that won’t be complete without the audience’s help. Join us as we celebrate unplugged creativity, ignite imaginations, and explore the immense storytelling power of body language. After the performance, families are invited to stick around to learn how to mime and meet the cast!
Destination: Everywhere runs Saturdays through April at the Peoples Improv Theater; it is written for ages 3-8 and their families. Though the show is always sensory-friendly and noise is okay in our theater, we will be increasing accessibility on Saturday, April 14th by adding: additional trained house staff, a reserved quiet space in the lobby for breaks, and an option to meet the performers in advance of the show. A “visual story” social narrative will be available online by April 1st for those who would like to prepare a visit to the theater: brokenboxmime.com/bkbxed/bkbxkids. For those who would like to request a meet and greet with the cast prior to the show, or have any other questions for us, please email brokenboxmime@gmail.com. No one is turned away for lack of funds.
