Join us to celebrate African American Music Month with a special tribute to the Robinson family’s legendary An Afternoon of Jazz concerts.  This intergenerational program will include tours, interactive workshops, and hands-on activities that honor the legacy of the concerts and explore African American music, past and present.

What’s Happening

Interactive Jazz Workshop and Performance – great for all ages!

Museum Tours – Enjoy a custom-designed gallery tour that will highlight the intersections between Jackie Robinson’s life and legacy and African American music in the 20th century.

An Afternoon of Jazz Collection Showcase – Get a peek at posters, buttons, photos, and video clips from the famed Robinson An Afternoon of Jazz concerts.

Hands-on activities, including making musical instruments
