Intrepid Access Family Program for Children with Developmental or Learning Disabilities
These two-hour programs, based on rotating themes, include a tour of the Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum and an art-making activity intended to engage the entire family. These programs are free, but space is limited.
Ship Stories — Sunday, December 14, 2014 from 11:00am-1:00pm Explore areas of the USS Intrepid where sailors lived and worked. Discover what it was like to be a crew member on an aircraft carrier by hearing and acting out their stories.
Plane Design — Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 11:00am-1:00pm Learn about the four forces of flight and how an airplane flies in the sky. Families will compare different designs and make their own aircraft.
