The Museum, Arts and Culture Access Consortium (MAC)’s Supporting Transition project is hosting a series on Inclusive and Accessible Employment for Cultural Organizations through the month of June. This series was presented last year and will return in a revised format for cultural organizations to build a new way of approaching cultural employment, one where disability is valued.

The virtual series will consist of four workshops for employees at cultural organizations who wish to examine their employment practices to be anti-ableist, accessible, and inclusive.

Opening Panel: Confronting Ableism in Cultural Employment

While the Supporting Transitions project focuses on creating opportunities for adults with autism and other developmental and intellectual disabilities, we believe in cross-disability solidarity and a cohesive, collaborative disability community. The content of this series will be focused on accessibility and inclusion for this population but is transferable to inclusive and accessible hiring practices overall.

All sessions will take place on Zoom. All parts of the series will be captioned and ASL interpretation will be provided. Please indicate any access needs on your registration form. An access guide will be sent out prior to the event and there will be a staff member available for access support.
