Lincoln Center Presents: Movement Session With New York City Ballet

June 27 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
NYCB

Presented in collaboration with NewYork-Presbyterian, the Official Hospital of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts

Elevate your Saturday morning with an hour-long, ballet-inspired dance workshop led by New York City Ballet (NYCB), presented as part of Lincoln Center’s The Art of Wellbeing series in collaboration with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Designed for all experience levels, this immersive session invites participants to move alongside NYCB artists through an introductory ballet warm-up, guided stretches, and choreography drawn from the Company’s iconic repertory. An invitation to be inspired, connect, and celebrate the joy of movement. This is a Relaxed Performance.

From NewYork-Presbyterian, the Official Hospital of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts:
Our bodies are made for motion, and dance-inspired moves are an excellent way to maintain mobility and keep your joints healthy, says Dr. Charles Scott, a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician at NewYork-Presbyterian and Columbia. The variety of movement in dance helps to improve coordination and ward off the negative impacts of a sedentary lifestyle, all while fostering a sense of connection with others and yourself that contributes to overall wellbeing. So, join us at this session with the New York City Ballet to experience the joy of dance and movement.
