Virtual Verbal Description Exploration and Artist Conversation: “Safe Space” by Miles Regis

Join us for a free virtual exploration of the “Safe Space” by Miles Regis augmented reality experience that features embedded audio description.

This event will take place on zoom from 5:00pm – 6:00pm on Friday, August 15th.

Designed for guests who are blind or have low vision but open to all, this Zoom event will be led by describer Madison Zalopany and will feature Miles Regis discussing his work. With a goal of increasing accessibility in modern technologies, this discussion will center on the process of collaborating to create an equitable augmented reality experience.

“Safe Space” is an in-person, site-specific augmented reality experience accessible through an app. This event will explore the digital artwork, and the recorded audio description that will be available until October.

This event will include verbal description, closed captioning, and ASL interpretation. If you require any additional accommodations feel free to let us know in the program registration form.
