SUMMARY:The 2nd Annual Samantha Coleman Memorial Concert
DESCRIPTION:Samantha Coleman was a remarkable force in both theatre and disability advocacy. As an adult\, an autoimmune condition led to her becoming increasingly deaf and blind. She remained an active part of the Broadway community\, turning her passion into fierce advocacy work for theatre accessibility. \nThis special evening of performances will benefit The Sami Coleman ’17 Theatre Accessibility Endowed Fund\, at her alma mater Adelphi University. The fund will provide ongoing support for their Theatre Department and Performing Arts Center in expanding access\, cultivating diverse communities\, and ensuring that everyone\, regardless of ability\, can participate fully in the arts. \n\nThe performance will be ASL-interpreted in person and captioned for the livestream audience\, ensuring an inclusive experience for all.

SUMMARY:Lincoln Center Presents: Jeanine Tesori's Blue
DESCRIPTION:*Please note: This performance contains adult themes and strong language. Audience discretion is advised; this show is intended for ages 14+. \nPresented in collaboration with Lincoln Center Theater and The Metropolitan Opera \nExperience a staged concert of Blue\, the award-winning contemporary opera from Lincoln Center’s 2025 Visionary Artist and two-time Tony Award winner Jeanine Tesori. Set in Harlem\, Blue is a poignant and powerful contemporary opera that delves into the heart of a Black middle-class family—grappling with the devastating loss of their teenage son\, who is fatally shot by a white police officer during a peaceful protest. This two-act opera\, with music by Jeanine Tesori\, a libretto by acclaimed playwright and director Tazewell Thompson\, and direction also by Thompson\, offers an unflinching exploration of race and identity within the Black community.
