In this workshop\, participants will learn how to prepare a loom using simple materials that you can find at home. The teaching artist will guide the group through personal reflections\, and connect those feelings with weaving choices. Then each person will create a tapestry that creatively documents their thoughts. We will weave to relax\, to express ourselves\, to find community\, and with the philosophy that there is no such thing as a mistake! Everyone will walk away with a piece of woven art.

Does not include evening access to special events\, including Holiday Train Nights. \nStaff will be present to support your visit as you enter and explore the Holiday Train Show without videos or music playing\, for a more relaxed visit from 9–11 a.m. Trains and waterfalls will remain on for everyone to enjoy. A quiet space and alternate exit from the Conservatory will be available for the duration of the program. \nThis sensory friendly experience is primarily for\, but not limited to\, families with autistic children\, autistic young people and adults\, and any other visitors who may prefer a more relaxed experience\, plus their families\, friends\, and caregivers.

SUMMARY:Weaving as Journaling
DESCRIPTION:Intertwine Arts is offering a free public weaving workshop for the New Year\, intended for people with disabilities\, chronic illnesses\, and their family and caregivers. In this workshop\, participants will learn how to prepare a loom using simple materials that you can find at home. The teaching artist will guide the group through personal reflections\, and connect those feelings with weaving choices. Then each person will create a tapestry that creatively documents their thoughts. We will weave to relax\, to express ourselves\, to find community\, and with the philosophy that there is no such thing as a mistake! Everyone will walk away with a piece of woven art.

DESCRIPTION:Intertwine Arts is offering a free public weaving workshop for the New Year\, intended for people with disabilities\, chronic illnesses\, and their family and caregivers. In this workshop\, participants will learn how to prepare a loom using simple materials that you can find at home. The teaching artist will guide the group through personal reflections\, and connect those feelings with weaving choices. Then each person will create a tapestry that creatively documents their thoughts. We will weave to relax\, to express ourselves\, to find community\, and with the philosophy that there is no such thing as a mistake! Everyone will walk away with a piece of woven art.
