SUMMARY:Lincoln Center Presents: Spotlight: Boombox Burlesque
DESCRIPTION:*Please note: This performance contains partial nudity and other adult themes. Audience discretion is advised. \nThe Spotlight: A Night at the Atrium series showcases burlesque at its finest. Empowered\, illustrious\, and fierce. In December\, we present Boombox Burlesque\, a collective dedicated to challenging stereotypes\, celebrating Black culture\, and showcasing the beauty and artistry of both Hip-Hop and burlesque. Remixes and Reveals is the collective’s high-energy\, multidisciplinary showcase—using the power of Hip-Hop culture with the theatrical glamour of burlesque and imagining the stage as a platform for bold creative expression. Celebrating the Hip-Hop movement birthed in The Bronx\, Remixes and Reveals brings together performance artists from across disciplines for a night of turntables and tassels in the same spotlight. \nThere are two ways to access this free event:\n1. General Admission\, first-come first-served. Just show up!\n2. Fast Track opening the Monday before the event at noon. Or\, become a Member and enjoy priority entry with automatic access to every Fast Track line\, all year round.

SUMMARY:Lincoln Center Presents: Heidi Latsky Dance
DESCRIPTION:In the world premiere of Days of Awe\, Heidi Latsky and long-time collaborators Janet Wong and Robert Wierzel create a hauntingly surreal multimedia world. The ten dancers reveal the complexity of processing upheaval and finding beauty\, connection\, and transformation within disruption. This production is a Lincoln Center commission presented as part of the Lincoln Center Contemporary Dance Festival. \nMember Pre-sale: October 28 at noon\nGeneral On-sale: November 4 at noon \nNot a Friend of Lincoln Center? SUMMARY:Lincoln Center Presents: Hannah Garner | 2nd Best Dance Company
DESCRIPTION:Slumber (2027) is a commission of the Pasculano Collaborative for Contemporary Dance. The development of Slumber (2027) was supported by a Works & Process residency at Catskill Mountain Foundation. \nAn evening-length work by Hannah Garner’s 2nd Best Dance Company\, Slumber (2027) walks the fuzzy line between dance and play in an exploration of the well-known story about waiting: Sleeping Beauty. The work counters the perception that waiting is a passive state; wonders how we make meaning; and questions what is valued in live performance and\, subsequently\, what is valued in life itself. 2nd Best Dance Company is an NYC-based dance-theater company that creates\, performs\, and teaches physically rigorous\, sometimes virtuosic\, and almost always slapstick dance plays. This is their love letter to performing. \nMember Pre-sale: October 28 at noon\nGeneral On-sale: November 4 at noon \nNot a Friend of Lincoln Center? Become a member today to get access to the Pre-sale. \nTo make the arts more accessible\, tickets are available on a Choose-What-You-Pay basis.
