DESCRIPTION:Building a Career as a Neurodivergent Artist  \n\nIn this virtual series\, participants will learn about building an artistic career\, while building community with other neurodivergent artists. This series will highlight how different artists earn money while practicing their art.  Each session will focus on a different art form. \n\nWednesday August 19\, 3-5pm – Writing with guest artist Ava X. Rigelhaupt\nWednesday August 26\, 3-5pm – Visual Arts with guest artist Emily Sara\nWednesday September 2\, 3-5pm – Performing Arts with guest artist Imani Russell \n\nAll sessions will take place on Zoom. Participants can attend one\, two\, or all three workshops. \nSessions include a conversation with a neurodivergent artist who will discuss their career path\, offer advice\, and answer questions about working as an artist. Participants will also have a chance to participate in a short art-making activity\, share some of their own art\, and connect with others. \nWorkshops are designed as a community space for neurodivergent artists including but not limited to individuals with autism and/or other intellectual / developmental disabilities.  Artists of all experience levels are welcome.  Support staff and caregivers are welcome to attend alongside artists but should not attend in place of an artist or to observe.   \n\nCheck out the registration page for full details and to RSVP.

SUMMARY:Arts Careers Series: Building A Career as a Neurodivergent Artist
DESCRIPTION:Building a Career as a Neurodivergent Artist  \n\nIn this virtual series\, participants will learn about building an artistic career\, while building community with other neurodivergent artists. This series will highlight how different artists earn money while practicing their art.  Each session will focus on a different art form. \n\nWednesday August 19\, 3-5pm – Writing with guest artist Ava X. Rigelhaupt\nWednesday August 26\, 3-5pm – Visual Arts with guest artist Emily Sara\nWednesday September 2\, 3-5pm – Performing Arts with guest artist Imani Russell \n\nAll sessions will take place on Zoom. Participants can attend one\, two\, or all three workshops. \nSessions include a conversation with a neurodivergent artist who will discuss their career path\, offer advice\, and answer questions about working as an artist. Participants will also have a chance to participate in a short art-making activity\, share some of their own art\, and connect with others. \nWorkshops are designed as a community space for neurodivergent artists including but not limited to individuals with autism and/or other intellectual / developmental disabilities.  Artists of all experience levels are welcome.  Support staff and caregivers are welcome to attend alongside artists but should not attend in place of an artist or to observe.   \n\nCheck out the registration page for full details and to RSVP.
