SUMMARY:Lincoln Center Presents: Él y Ella
DESCRIPTION:At the intersection of a love story and an immigrant journey\, Él y Ella is inspired by the true story of two Mexican artists who fall in love and move to New York on a whim. The rom-com musical blends mariachi\, cumbia\, ranchera\, corrido\, and norteña traditions into a vibrant Spanglish score performed by four multi-instrumentalists. Walk alongside the characters as they experience the exhilaration and sacrifice of building a life through art without losing sight of their roots while raising their Mexican-American son. At its heart\, Él y Ella asks: How much of ourselves are we willing to sacrifice in pursuit of our dreams? \nThere are two ways to access this free event:\n1. General Admission\, first-come first-served.
