SUMMARY:Lincoln Center Presents: Minty Fresh Circus
DESCRIPTION:Conceived by Monique Martin in collaboration with a range of circus performing artists\, Minty Fresh Circus is a US-based circus show performed by an all-Black and Brown cast celebrating the healing power of Black music and movement\, infused with the joy and resilience of those who traversed the Transatlantic Slave Trade. Inspired by abolitionist Harriet Araminta Tubman and the survival of generations of African Americans\, the central question in Minty Fresh Circus is: what does freedom feel and sound like if your only access to it is through your imagination?

SUMMARY:DEGENERATES – Audio Described Performance & Touch Tour
DESCRIPTION:DEGENERATES\, written by Else Went and directed by Emma Rosa Went\, takes us into an obscure corner of the internet where a group of young men have built a community around a shared conviction: the game is rigged against them\, they will never be loved\, and there is little point in trying. When an unexpected relationship begins to form\, the consequences of that fatalism become painfully clear. Darkly funny and unsettling\, DEGENERATES examines an insular online community formed around shared and seemingly infinite miseries. \nThis performance will feature live Audio Description for blind and low-vision audience members. Audio Description provides live verbal descriptions of the visual elements of the production\, including action\, settings\, costumes\, and other visual details\, delivered through a headset during the performance. \nA pre-show Touch Tour will also be offered\, providing an opportunity to experience selected elements of the production through touch and description before the performance.

SUMMARY:Lincoln Center Presents: Hannah Garner | 2nd Best Dance Company
DESCRIPTION:Slumber (2027) is a commission of the Pasculano Collaborative for Contemporary Dance. The development of Slumber (2027) was supported by a Works & Process residency at Catskill Mountain Foundation. \nAn evening-length work by Hannah Garner’s 2nd Best Dance Company\, Slumber (2027) walks the fuzzy line between dance and play in an exploration of the well-known story about waiting: Sleeping Beauty. The work counters the perception that waiting is a passive state; wonders how we make meaning; and questions what is valued in live performance and\, subsequently\, what is valued in life itself. 2nd Best Dance Company is an NYC-based dance-theater company that creates\, performs\, and teaches physically rigorous\, sometimes virtuosic\, and almost always slapstick dance plays. This is their love letter to performing. \nMember Pre-sale: October 28 at noon\nGeneral On-sale: November 4 at noon \nNot a Friend of Lincoln Center?
