SUMMARY:Lincoln Center Presents: Tai Chi With Raymond Li
DESCRIPTION:Presented in collaboration with NewYork-Presbyterian\, the Official Hospital of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts \nJoin Raymond Li\, founder of Manhattan Tai Chi\, for a restorative workshop rooted in the ancient Chinese practice of Tai Chi\, brought to life with live traditional music. Accompanied by the sounds of the dizi\, played by Yimin Miao\, and the pipa\, played by Zhou Yi\, this immersive experience invites you to slow down\, breathe deeply\, and move with intention. Through gentle\, flowing movements and focused attention on breath\, participants will explore the core principles of Tai Chi while building balance\, flexibility\, and strength. This practice supports both physical and mental well-being\, helping to reduce stress\, restore energy\, and cultivate a greater sense of calm and resilience. Suitable for all ages and experience levels\, this welcoming workshop offers a chance to reconnect with your body\, quiet your mind\, and move through space with greater ease and awareness. This is a Relaxed Performance. \n\nFrom NewYork-Presbyterian\, the Official Hospital of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts:\n\n\n\nRooted in mindfulness\, Tai Chi has been shown to reduce stress\, anxiety\, and depression\, says Dr. Michela Isono\, an integrative medicine physician at NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine. It has also been linked to lower blood pressure\, better balance and joint health\, and improved sleep and memory. So come support your mind-body health and experience Tai Chi’s restorative power by joining us at this low-impact workshop designed for all ages.\n\nThere are two ways to access this free event:\n1. General Admission\, first-come first-served. Just show up!\n2. Fast Track opening the Monday before the event at noon for all. Or\, become a member and enjoy priority entry with automatic access to every Fast Track line\, all year round.

SUMMARY:Opening Reception: Canal Street Research Association (market)
DESCRIPTION:Cuchifritos Gallery is pleased to present a new project by AAI’s LES Studio Program residency alum Shanzhai Lyric. Designed in collaboration with architectural collective common room\, Canal Street Research Association (market) will be on view at Cuchifritos Gallery + Project Space from November 15\, 2025 through February 7\, 2026. \nLocated inside Essex Market on Manhattan’s Lower East Side\, the installation transforms the gallery into a hybrid research site and storefront\, examining how the politics of visibility\, commerce\, and belonging have shaped the city’s marketplaces for nearly a century. By situating the project within Cuchifritos Gallery\, Shanzhai Lyric links historical inquiry to the living economies that sustain the neighborhood. Visitors are invited to step into the installation\, browse its offerings\, and produce their own bootleg holiday cards\, joining an ongoing dialogue about creativity\, labor\, and survival in the city.
