Webinar – American Folk Art Museum

June 29, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Free
Connect2culture’s cultural partners are finding ways to engage families with dementia virtually, by creating guided and self-guided activities and experiences online. Guest speakers and teaching artists will talk about these at home experiences and demonstrate their online resources aimed to alleviate some of the stress and isolation caregivers feel.

Join Elizabeth Gronke, art therapist and access educator, takes us on a virtual stroll through the American Folk Art Museum’s most wild, intricate, humorous, touching, and inspiring art pieces from their collection.

This mini-tour will be an example of the programming that is part of the long-running Folk Art Reflections Program that brings Folk Art to life for museum-goers with Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementia with their caregivers.
