Art inSight Touch Tour: Automania

We invite you and a guest to join us onsite at MoMA for a very special opportunity! This Art inSight Touch Tour of the exhibition Automania will offer a rare chance to explore selected cars from MoMA’s collection, inside and out, through touch and verbal description. Learn directly from Automania curators and conservators about the cars themselves, and how they relate to and influence design and culture.
We are offering this Art inSight Touch Tour of the Automania exhibition onsite in MoMA’s outdoor Sculpture Garden. You can choose between the following two dates and times:
Tuesday, October 12, 9:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.
-OR-
Wednesday, October 13, 2:30 p.m.–4:30 p.m.
For the first time, we are extending the opportunity to participate in a touch tour to you and one guest. Now you can share the multi-sensory experience of touching objects from MoMA’s collection with a friend or family member, whatever their level of vision. We strongly encourage bringing a guest. Because of COVID social distancing protocols and safety precautions, MoMA staff are unable to be sighted guides, push wheelchairs, or offer hand-over-hand guidance during the touch tour. Instead, we are offering you the chance to bring someone of your choice with whom you feel comfortable being in close physical contact. All visitors (ages 12+) to The Museum of Modern Art and its Stores must show proof that they have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine authorized by the United States Food and Drug Administration or by the World Health Organization. We continue to require masks for visitors (ages 2+) and staff in all indoor areas of the Museum; complimentary face masks are available.
