Community and Access Programs Temporary Assistant, Department of Education, MoMA

Schedule & Compensation

March 2019 – September 2019
20 hours a week split over 3 days and including one Sunday per month 20$/hour

Ongoing Administration Tasks:

-Assists with day to day management of Prime Time, the Museum’s initiative to reach out to older adult audiences
-Assists with day to day management of Community and Access Programs
-Assists with all administrative aspects of running Prime Time and Access programs, including program registration and reminders, reserving spaces, recruiting participants, liaising with educators, and program set-up and cleanup

-Answers general email and phone inquiries for Community and Access Programs, including Prime Time programs
-Monitors art supply quantities and compiles educator requests for supplies
-Helps to maintain the art supply closets and classroom spaces

-Compiles, analyzes and reports on statistics related to the Prime Time programs for Community and Access Programs, Development Department records, and for marketing and outreach purposes

Other Tasks:

-Assists with set-up and check-in at monthly Access Programs as needed
-Assists with administrative tasks related to Community and Access Programs not mentioned above as needed
-Assists in managing digital archiving project
– Assists with exhibition installation

  • : Requirements (education): ●  B.A. in Education, Art, Art History or related field ●  Experience working with a variety of youth and adult audiences required ●  Experience working with older adults and/or individuals with disabilities preferred ●  Applicant should have knowledge of art education and museum programming and excellent communication and customer service skills
